GPP20M-E3/73 is a glass passivated junction plastic rectifier from Vishay General Semiconductor. It is a standard recovery diode rated for 2 A average forward current and 1000 V repetitive peak reverse voltage, with 700 V RMS and 1000 V DC blocking voltage. The device features a low forward voltage drop of 1.1 V at 2 A and low leakage current with typical IR below 0.1 μA.
The rectifier is designed for general purpose rectification in power supplies, inverters, converters, and freewheeling diode applications. It can handle a peak forward surge current of 70 A at 8.3 ms single half sine-wave, providing high surge capability. The glass passivated junction enhances reliability, and the molded epoxy case meets UL 94 V-0 flammability rating.
The component is supplied in a DO-15 (DO-204AC) through-hole package with axial leads. The leads are matte tin plated and solderable per J-STD-002 and JESD 22-B102. Polarity is indicated by a color band on the cathode end. The device operates over a junction temperature range of -55 °C to 150 °C, with a maximum junction temperature of 150 °C.
