The GN1G is a general-purpose rectifier diode from Good-Ark Semiconductor designed for surface mount applications. It features a repetitive peak reverse voltage of 400V and an average forward rectified current of 1A. The device can handle a peak forward surge current of 40A (8.3ms single half sine-wave) making it suitable for applications requiring moderate inrush capability.
The forward voltage is typically 1.0V maximum at 1A forward current. The operating junction temperature range is -55°C to +150°C and storage temperature matches that range. Thermal resistance junction-to-ambient is 68°C/W (typical) on FR-4 PCB with 0.2x0.2" copper pads, and junction-to-lead thermal resistance is 10°C/W.
The GN1G is housed in a DO-214AC (SMA) package and is surface mountable. The plastic package has UL flammability classification 94V-0. It is halogen-free per IEC 61249-2-21 and has moisture sensitivity level 1 (unlimited) per J-STD-020. The glass passivated chip junction ensures reliable performance. Typical applications include general purpose rectification, freewheeling diodes, and polarity protection circuits.
