The Kycon GMX-SMT2-S-88-TR is a surface mount modular jack from the GMX-SMT2 series, designed for RJ45 Ethernet applications in 8p8c configuration. It features a shielded design with a copper alloy nickel-plated shield for EMI/RFI protection, and a board lock for secure mounting. The housing is made of high temperature thermoplastic rated UL 94V-0, black color, making it reflow compatible.
Electrically, the jack is rated for 1.0A current and 125V DC voltage, with insulation resistance of 500 MΩ minimum and dielectric withstanding voltage of 1000V RMS. Contact resistance is 20 mΩ maximum. Contacts are phosphor bronze with gold plating, ensuring reliable connectivity over 1000 mating cycles minimum. Operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C.
Termination is solder with right angle orientation. The part is packaged in tape and reel (TR suffix). It is RoHS3 and REACH compliant, with UL file E134345 and CSA LR78160 certifications. Suitable for low profile PC add-on board applications and other networking equipment.
