GL34G-E3/83

The GL34G-E3/83 is a standard recovery rectifier diode from Vishay Dale, part of the GL34 series. It is rated for a maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage of 400V and an average forward current of 500mA. The forward voltage is typically 1.2V at 500mA, with a maximum of 1.3V. Reverse recovery time is 1.5µs, making it suitable for low-frequency rectification applications. The diode features a glass passivated junction for high reliability and can handle a peak forward surge current of 10A at 8.3ms half sine wave. Capacitance is 4pF at 4V and 1MHz. Operating temperature range is -65°C to 175°C, with a maximum junction temperature of 175°C.

The device is designed for general purpose rectification in power supplies, inverters, converters, and freewheeling diode applications. It is ideal for automated placement due to its surface-mount package. The package is DO-213AA (GL34), a molded epoxy over glass body that meets UL 94 V-0 flammability rating.
