The GBU6D is a single phase bridge rectifier from On Semiconductor, designed for general purpose AC to DC conversion. It features a glass-passivated junction for enhanced reliability and is rated for a maximum repetitive reverse voltage of 200V and an average rectified forward current of 6A at 100°C. The device can handle non-repetitive peak surge currents up to 175A, making it suitable for applications with transient overloads.
Electrical characteristics include a maximum forward voltage of 1V at 6A and a reverse leakage current of 5µA at 25°C (500µA at 125°C). The component is housed in a through-hole GBU package (4-SIP) and is UL certified (E258596). Thermal performance is specified with a junction-to-ambient thermal resistance of 18.6°C/W and a junction-to-lead resistance of 3.1°C/W, with a maximum power dissipation of 12W.
This bridge rectifier is ideal for printed circuit board mounting and is commonly used in power supplies, battery chargers, and other rectification circuits. The operating junction temperature range is -55°C to 150°C.
