The GBL04-E3/51 is a single-phase bridge rectifier from Vishay, featuring a glass passivated junction for reliable operation. It offers a repetitive peak reverse voltage of 400V and an average forward rectified current of 4.0A when mounted on an aluminum heatsink (3.0" x 3.0" x 0.11") at TC=50°C, or 3.0A when mounted on a PCB with 0.5" x 0.5" copper pads at TA=40°C. The device can handle peak forward surge currents up to 150A and has a maximum forward voltage of 1.0V at 4.0A per diode.
This bridge rectifier is housed in a through-hole GBL package (4-SIP) with matte tin plated leads, solderable per J-STD-002 and JESD 22-B102. The operating junction temperature range is -55°C to +150°C. It is RoHS3 compliant (E3 suffix) and UL recognized (file E54214).
Typical applications include AC/DC full-wave rectification in monitors, TVs, printers, SMPS, adapters, audio equipment, and home appliances. The high surge current capability and compact package make it suitable for general-purpose power supply designs.
