The FZT649TA is an NPN high performance bipolar junction transistor from Diodes Incorporated. It features a collector-emitter breakdown voltage of 25V and a continuous collector current rating of 3A, with a peak pulse current capability of 8A. The transistor offers a DC current gain (hFE) of 100 minimum at 1A, 2V, and a low collector-emitter saturation voltage of 600mV maximum at 3A. With a transition frequency of 240MHz, it is suitable for switching and amplification applications. The device is housed in a SOT223-3 surface mount package, which is lead-free and RoHS compliant. It has a moisture sensitivity level of 1 (unlimited) per J-STD-020. The operating junction temperature range is -55°C to +150°C. The complementary PNP type is FZT749.
