The FVP12030IM3LEG1 is an advanced smart power module (SPM) developed by Fairchild Semiconductor (now On Semiconductor) for energy recovery circuits in Plasma Display Panel (PDP) driving systems. It integrates high-speed 300V IGBTs with parallel fast recovery diodes in a half-bridge configuration, providing a 120A collector current rating. The module features a built-in high-voltage integrated circuit (HVIC) that enables opto-couplerless single-grounded power supply operation, reducing overall system size. A buffer and drive circuit ensures sufficient gate drive capability for the IGBTs. The module offers 1500Vrms isolation voltage and includes under-voltage lock-out protection for enhanced reliability. The control bias voltage and supply voltage are rated up to 20V. Mounted in a through-hole 19-PowerDIP package (1.205", 30.60mm), it is designed for compact PCB integration on PDP sustaining boards. The module supports both low-side and high-side signal inputs with floating supplies for proper gate driving.
