Key features include support for PD Specification 3.0, USB 2.0 Hi-Speed (480Mbits/Second) and Full Speed (12Mbits/Second) compatibility, and a Multi-Protocol Synchronous Serial Engine (MPSSE). It offers various interface configurations such as USB to asynchronous 245 FIFO mode with data rates up to 8 Mbyte/Sec, and USB to synchronous 245 parallel FIFO mode for transfers up to 40 Mbytes/Sec. The device also supports a proprietary half duplex FT1248 interface.

 

Packaged in a 64-QFN (9x9) surface-mount case, the FT233HPQ-TRAY operates within a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. It requires a single power supply with a voltage range of 1.08V to 1.32V and 2.97V to 3.63V. The integrated design includes a 5V to 3.3/+1.8V LDO regulator and POR function.
