The Pulse Electronics FST200-205 is an integrated sensor designed to measure wind speed and wind direction. It converts these measurements into electrical signals for direct transmission to recording devices. The sensor housing is constructed from aluminum alloy using a precision die-casting process, offering high weather resistance, strength, corrosion resistance, and water resistance. Its internal circuitry is protected, ensuring good adaptability to harsh environments.
Key technical specifications include an operating voltage range of 12-30VDC and multiple output signal options such as 4-20mA, 0-5VDC, Rs485, and 0-10VDC. The wind speed range is selectable between 0-30m/s and 0-60m/s, with a precision of ±3% for speeds ≥5m/s. Wind direction is measured with a precision of ±3 degrees, available in 16 or 8 directions (0-360 degrees). The sensor has a low start wind speed of ≤0.5m/s and operates within a temperature range of -40 to 85℃.
With an IP65 protection level, the FST200-205 is suitable for demanding applications. The cable connector utilizes a military plug for enhanced anti-corrosion performance, ensuring long-term reliability. An imported bearing system contributes to the accuracy of wind speed and direction collection. This sensor is well-suited for applications such as high-altitude operations monitoring, construction machinery control, meteorological stations, environmental protection monitoring, and port and terminal operations.
Installation requires the sensor to be mounted horizontally, with the electrical connector aligned north and the base angle not exceeding 5℃ from the horizontal plane to ensure accurate low-wind-speed measurements. Care should be taken not to grasp the wind cups or directional fins during installation to avoid damaging the sensor structure and affecting measurement accuracy.
