The FSMD005-1206-R is a surface mountable PTC resettable fuse from FUZETEC TECHNOLOGY, part of the FSMD1206 series. It provides overcurrent protection with a hold current of 50 mA and a trip current of 150 mA at 23°C still air. The device is rated for a maximum voltage of 60V DC and can withstand a maximum fault current of 100A.
Typical power dissipation is 0.4W. The initial resistance is 3.6 Ω minimum, and the post-trip maximum resistance is 50 Ω. Time to trip at 0.25A is 1.5 seconds. Designed for compact, high-density boards, this fuse offers faster time to trip and lower resistance than standard SMD PTC devices.
The component is housed in a 1206 (3216 Metric) concave package, measuring 3.25mm x 1.65mm x 0.85mm maximum. It is suitable for a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C and is verified Halogen Free according to the datasheet.
