FODM8061 Description

The ON Semiconductor FODM8061 is a 3.3V/5V high-speed logic gate output optocoupler. It enables digital signal communication between systems without ground loops or hazardous voltages, utilizing onsemi's OPTOPLANAR packaging technology for high noise immunity.

 

This optocoupler features an AlGaAS LED coupled to a high-speed integrated photodetector logic gate with an open collector Schottky-clamped transistor output. It supports a 10 Mbit/sec data rate (NRZ) and offers a minimum common mode transient immunity (CMTI) of 20 kV/µs. Specifications are guaranteed over a 3V to 5.5V supply voltage and a -40°C to +110°C temperature range.

 

The FODM8061 is suitable for applications such as microprocessor system interfaces (SPI, I2C), industrial fieldbus communications (DeviceNet, CAN, RS485), programmable logic control, isolated data acquisition systems, voltage level translators, and isolating MOSFET/IGBT gate drivers.

 

It is available in a 6-SOIC package with surface mount mounting type. Safety and regulatory approvals include UL1577 (3750 V AC RMS for 1 min) and DIN EN/IEC60747-5-5.
