The ON Semiconductor FOD8480T is an optically isolated intelligent power module (IPM) driver, packaged in a stretched body SOP 6-pin configuration. This optocoupler facilitates isolated interfaces for digital control signals, preventing ground loops and hazardous voltages.
Key electrical specifications include a wide operating voltage range of 4.5 V to 30 V and a maximum threshold input current of 5.5 mA. It offers high noise immunity with a minimum Common Mode Transient Immunity (CMTI) of 20 kV/µs.
