FNB80560T3

The ON Semiconductor FNB80560T3 is a Motion SPM 8 Series module providing a high-performance inverter output stage for AC Induction, BLDC, and PMSM motors. This module integrates optimized gate drive for built-in IGBTs to minimize EMI and losses. It includes multiple on-module protection features such as under-voltage lockouts, inter-lock function, over-current shutdown, thermal monitoring, and fault reporting.

The FNB80560T3 operates with a 600V, 5A rating and features low-loss, short-circuit rated IGBTs. It supports a 3.3V / 5V logic interface with Schmitt-trigger input. Separate open-emitter pins are available from low-side IGBTs for three-phase current sensing. The module is housed in a 25-DIP Module package and supports through-hole mounting.

Key integrated functions include gate drive circuits, high-voltage isolated level shifting control, under-voltage lockout (UVLO) protection, and over-current protection (OCP). It also provides fault signaling for UVLO and short-circuit faults. The isolation rating is 1500 Vrms per minute.

This device is suitable for motion control applications in home appliances and industrial motors. It requires a single supply voltage for its high-speed HVIC and translates logic-level gate inputs to high-voltage, high-current drive signals for the IGBTs.
