FNA23512A

The FNA23512A from On Semiconductor is a Motion SPM 2 series 3-phase IGBT inverter module designed for high-performance motor control applications. It integrates optimized gate drive for the built-in IGBTs, minimizing EMI and losses while providing multiple protection features such as under-voltage lockouts, over-current shutdown, temperature sensing, and fault reporting.

Key electrical specifications include a 1200V collector-emitter voltage rating, 35A output current, and an isolation rating of 2500Vrms for 1 minute. The module operates as a 3-phase inverter configuration and is housed in a 34-PowerDIP through-hole package. The device is RoHS compliant and halide-free, and it is UL certified (No. E209204).

The module uses an Al2O3 DBC substrate for very low thermal resistance, and includes built-in bootstrap diodes and dedicated Vs pins for simplified PCB layout. Separate open-emitter pins from low-side IGBTs facilitate three-phase current sensing. A single-grounded power supply is supported, and a built-in NTC thermistor enables temperature monitoring and management.
