The Schaffner FN9233EB-15-06 is a high performance IEC inlet filter designed for EMI/EMC suppression in commercial and medical applications. It integrates an earth line choke and delivers excellent conducted attenuation based on chokes with high saturation resistance and excellent thermal behavior. Rated for continuous 15A at 250 VAC, 50/60 Hz, this filter withstands high potential test voltages of 2500 VAC (P to PE for B type) and 1000 VAC (P to N). Typical leakage current is 0.31 mA at 250 VAC/50 Hz.
The module has a panel mount, flange design with quick connect terminals (0.250" / 6.3mm) and a rectangular cutout of 28.50mm x 21.50mm. It offers IP40 ingress protection per IEC 60529 and operates over a temperature range of -25°C to +85°C. The housing meets flammability rating UL94 V-2, and MTBF is 1,710,000 hours per Mil-HB-217F at 40°C/230 V.
The FN9233EB-15-06 is approved by CQC, CSA, ENEC, and UL, and is designed to conform to UL 1283, CSA 22.2 No. 8, and IEC/EN 60939. It is suitable for use in equipment requiring compliance with IEC/EN 60601-1 for medical applications.
