The Schaffner FN9222SB-15-06 is an IEC 320-C14 power entry module (PEM) that combines a standard inlet connector with a mains filter. It is a receptacle with male blades, 3 positions, designed for panel mount snap-in installation. The termination is quick connect 0.250" (6.3mm). The panel cutout dimensions are rectangular 29.40mm x 20.80mm, accommodating panel thicknesses from 0.028" to 0.059" (0.70mm to 1.50mm).
The module provides filtered (EMI/RFI) performance suitable for commercial and medical applications. It is rated for 15A at 50°C and a maximum continuous operating voltage of 250VAC (nominal 230VAC) with a frequency range from DC to 400Hz. Dielectric strength is 2000VAC between P and PE for standard types. The operating and storage temperature range is -25°C to +85°C. The flammability rating of the plastic material is UL 94 V-0, and the ingress protection is IP40.
Approvals include CQC, CSA, UL, and ENEC (though ENEC may only apply to lower current ratings). The part features a bleed resistor and does not accommodate a fuse. MTBF is greater than 3,040,000 hours at 50°C and 230V. The design corresponds to UL 1283, CSA 22.2 No. 8, and IEC/EN 60939.
