The Schaffner FN393-2.5-05-11 is a versatile filtered power entry module designed for commercial applications requiring EMI/RFI filtering. It integrates an IEC 320-C14 inlet, a 2-pole rocker switch, a fuse holder accommodating one or two 5x20mm fuses, and a voltage selector for series/parallel operation.
Rated at 2.5A and 250VAC, the module provides effective attenuation of conducted interference with a filter topology including 2 mH and 220 mH inductors, 3.3 nF and 1000 nF capacitors, and a 1000 kΩ bleeder resistor. Hipot testing withstands 2000 VAC from line to earth and 760 VAC line to neutral.
The module mounts to a panel via flanges with a rectangular cutout of 29.00mm x 60.00mm, using quick connect 0.250" (6.3mm) terminals. The housing carries a UL94 V-2 flammability rating and IP40 ingress protection. Operating temperature range is -25°C to +85°C with a typical MTBF of 2,200,000 hours at 40°C/230V.
