FN286-4-06

The Schaffner FN286-4-06 is a filtered power entry module (PEM) that combines an IEC320-C14 inlet, an EMI/RFI filter, a twin fuse holder, and a 2-pole rocker switch in a compact panel-mount package. It is designed for general purpose applications requiring conducted emission suppression and power control.

The module is rated for 4 A continuous current at 250 VAC, 50/60 Hz, with an operating frequency range from DC to 400 Hz. It provides high attenuation of electromagnetic interference through its integrated filter, featuring 1 mH and 220 mH inductances and 220 nF and 2.2 nF capacitors. The switch is rated for 10 A at 125/250 VAC and can handle 82 A inrush current. The module also includes a twin fuse holder accepting 5x20 mm fuses (fuses not included).

The module mounts via snap-in into a panel cutout of 29.00 mm x 61.50 mm, accommodating panel thicknesses from 0.79 mm to 3.00 mm. It uses quick connect terminals (0.250"/6.3 mm) for wiring. The housing has an IP40 protection rating and is made of UL94 V-2 rated material. Operating temperature range is -25°C to +85°C.

Typical applications include portable electronic equipment, consumer goods, EDP and office equipment, single-phase power supplies, and test and measurement equipment. The module carries approvals from CQC, CSA, ENEC, and UL, and is compliant with RoHS and REACH.
