The Sanken FMN-G12S is a fast recovery silicon diode designed for high-frequency rectification applications. It features a peak repetitive reverse voltage of 200V and an average forward current rating of 5A. The diode offers a low forward voltage drop of 0.92V maximum at 5A, contributing to reduced power losses. Its reverse recovery time is specified as 100ns maximum under standard test conditions (IF=IRP=100mA, 90% recovery point), and 50ns maximum under alternative conditions (IF=100mA, IRP=200mA, 75% recovery point), making it suitable for switching power supplies and pulse rectification circuits.
The device is rated for a peak surge forward current of 100A (10ms half-sinewave) and has an I2t limiting value of 50 A²s. It operates over a junction temperature range of -40°C to +150°C. The thermal resistance between junction and case is 4.0°C/W maximum, allowing efficient heat dissipation.
