The FMMT620TA is an 80V NPN silicon low saturation transistor designed for high efficiency switching and linear applications. It features a continuous collector current of 1.5A with a peak pulse current capability of 5A. The low saturation resistance (RCE(SAT) typical 90mΩ) minimizes conduction losses. DC current gain (hFE) is a minimum of 300 at 200mA, 2V, ensuring high current gain hold-up. The transition frequency is 160MHz, suitable for moderate speed switching.
This transistor is housed in a SOT23-3 surface mount package with molded plastic, green molding compound, and matte tin plated leads. It is UL 94V-0 flammability rated and moisture sensitivity level 1 per J-STD-020. Power dissipation is 625mW (806mW on a 25mm x 25mm FR4 PCB with 1oz copper). Thermal resistance junction-to-ambient is 200°C/W (155°C/W on FR4).
Typical applications include DC-DC converter modules, power management functions, motor control and drive circuits, and CCFL backlighting inverters. The FMMT620TA is qualified to AEC-Q101 standards for high reliability, making it suitable for automotive environments. It is RoHS3 compliant, halogen and antimony free, and lead-free.
