It is designed for general purpose switching and amplification applications requiring high voltage capability in a compact surface-mount package. The transistor offers a minimum collector-emitter breakdown voltage (BVCEO) of 400V and a continuous collector current rating of 225mA, with a peak pulse current capability of 1A.
