The FMG-G2CS is a high voltage fast recovery diode manufactured by Sanken Electric. It is rated for a repetitive peak reverse voltage of 1000V and an average forward current of 3.0A. The diode achieves a maximum reverse recovery time of 100ns at 90% recovery point, making it suitable for high-speed switching applications.
The forward voltage drop is a maximum of 4.0V at 25°C and 3.0A, with a typical value of 2.0V at 100°C. Reverse leakage current is limited to 50µA at 25°C and 300µA at 150°C. The junction temperature range is -40°C to 150°C, and the thermal resistance from junction to case is 4.0°C/W.
This diode is designed for high voltage rectification circuits such as PFC and bridge circuits, and can also be used as a snubber diode in flyback converters. The package is a TO-220-2 Full Pack (TO-220F-2L) with through-hole mounting, providing reliable thermal performance.
