The FM50S3X is a precision CMOS analog temperature sensor from ON Semiconductor, designed for cost-effective, accurate, and low-power temperature monitoring applications. It features an operating temperature range of -40°C to 125°C and offers an analog voltage output with a sensitivity of 10mV/°C. The sensor provides an accuracy of ±2°C at 25°C and operates within a supply voltage range of 2.4V to 6V, consuming a maximum of 170μA of supply current.
This sensor is suitable for a wide array of applications including mobile phones, computers, battery management, HVAC systems, and automotive electronics. Its output voltage is linear with respect to temperature, making it easy to interface with microcontrollers via an analog A/D converter input. The FM50S3X is housed in a compact 3-pin SOT-23-3 surface-mount package, facilitating easy integration into printed circuit boards.
