The Hirose Electric FH40-24S-0.5SV is a 24-position FPC connector featuring a 0.5mm pitch and vertical surface mount orientation. It is designed for one-sided contact with tabbed FPC cables up to 0.30mm thick. The connector uses a flip lock mechanism for secure cable retention and easy mating.
The housing and actuator are molded from liquid crystal polymer (LCP) with a UL94 V-0 flammability rating, ensuring reliable performance in demanding environments. Contacts are phosphor bronze with gold finish for excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance. The connector is rated for 50V and operates over a temperature range of -40°C to 105°C.
This connector is suitable for compact electronic assemblies where space is limited, such as in consumer electronics, industrial controls, and communication devices. The surface mount design supports automated assembly processes.
