The FH19C-40S-0.5SH(99) is a 40-position, 0.5mm pitch FFC/FPC connector from Hirose Electric's FH19C series. It features a right angle surface mount design with bottom contacts, a flip lock actuator for secure cable retention, and zero insertion force (ZIF) operation. The connector accepts 0.2mm thick FPC/FFC cables and has a height above board of 0.88mm, enabling low-profile designs.
Electrical ratings include 0.5A per contact (with 70% derating when all contacts are used) and 50V voltage rating. The operating temperature range is -55°C to 85°C. Contacts are gold-plated phosphor bronze, and the housing is made of halogen-free liquid crystal polymer (LCP) with UL94 V-0 flammability rating. The actuator material is LCP and polyphenylene sulfide (PPS).
The connector includes solder retention features for reliable PCB attachment. It is packaged in tape and reel with a standard quantity of 5000 pieces, suitable for automated pick-and-place assembly. The bottom surface is solid with no exposed contacts, allowing PCB traces to run underneath the connector.
