The FH12A-40S-0.5SH is a 40-position, 0.5mm pitch FFC/FPC connector from Hirose Electric's FH12 series. It features a top contact design with a right-angle surface mount orientation, utilizing a flip-lock actuator for secure ZIF (Zero Insertion Force) mating. The connector is rated for 50V and 0.4A, with an operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. The housing is made of polyamide (nylon) with a UL94 V-0 flammability rating, and the contacts are tin-lead plated phosphor bronze. The actuator is constructed from polyphenylene sulfide (PPS). The connector accepts 0.30mm thick FFC/FPC cables with a straight end type. It is designed for use in compact electronic devices such as notebook computers, printers, PDAs, and digital cameras, where it interconnects main circuit boards with LCDs, HDDs, or other peripherals.
