The Hirose FH12-8S-1SH is an 8-position, 1mm pitch FFC/FPC connector featuring a flip-lock actuator for secure cable retention. It supports zero insertion force (ZIF) operation and offers solder retention for reliable board mounting. The connector is right angle, surface mount with bottom contacts. It is rated for 50V and 0.4A, with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C (note datasheet says -40 to +70, but existing_db says up to 85). The housing is made of UL94 V-0 rated polyamide (nylon) and the actuator is polyphenylene sulfide (PPS). Contact material is phosphor bronze with tin-lead plating. The connector accommodates FPC/FFC cables of 0.30mm thickness. This series is designed for compact devices such as notebooks, printers, and digital cameras.
