The Hirose FH12-10S-0.5SVA(54) is a 10-position FFC/FPC connector featuring a 0.5mm pitch and vertical surface mount design. It accepts 0.30mm thick flat flex cables with straight end type and supports both FFC and FPC cable types. The connector uses a flip lock mechanism for secure cable retention and includes solder retention features for reliable board mounting.
Electrical ratings include a 50V voltage rating. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C. Contacts are made of phosphor bronze with gold finish, and the housing is polyamide (PA) nylon with a UL94 V-0 flammability rating. The actuator is constructed from polyphenylene sulfide (PPS).
This connector is designed for applications requiring a compact, low-profile interconnect solution. The 3.60mm height above board and 0.5mm pitch make it suitable for dense PCB layouts. The zero insertion force (ZIF) design simplifies cable insertion and removal without damaging the contacts.
