The Hirose FH12-10S-0.5SV(55) is a 10-position, 0.5mm pitch FFC/FPC connector designed for vertical surface-mount assembly. It employs a rotating one-touch zero insertion force (ZIF) mechanism with a clear tactile click, simplifying mating and reducing insertion force. The connector features gold-plated phosphor bronze contacts, a polyamide nylon housing, and a polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) actuator. It is rated for 50V AC and 0.5A DC (70% derating when all contacts are active). Electrical performance includes a maximum contact resistance of 50mΩ at 1mA, minimum insulation resistance of 500MΩ at 100V DC, and withstanding voltage of 150V AC for 1 minute without breakdown. The connector operates over -40°C to +85°C and meets UL94 V-0 flammability requirements. Mechanical durability is rated at 20 insertion/withdrawal cycles. The design includes solder retention features and supports FFC/FPC cables 0.3mm thick. This connector is suitable for high-density PCB layouts in consumer electronics, portable devices, and display interfaces.
