The FGH40T120SMDL4 is a 1200 V, 40 A Trench Field Stop IGBT from onsemi, designed for optimum performance in hard-switching applications. It features a low saturation voltage of 1.8 V typical at 40 A, and a positive temperature coefficient for easy paralleling. The device includes a Kelvin emitter pin for excellent switching performance, with typical turn-on energy of 2.24 mJ and turn-off energy of 1.02 mJ. The IGBT is rated for a maximum power dissipation of 555 W at 25°C case temperature.
This device is housed in a TO-247-4L package with four leads (one Kelvin emitter, one power emitter, gate, and collector). It is through-hole mountable. The operating junction temperature range is -55°C to 175°C. The part is Pb-Free and RoHS compliant.
