The FGB20N60SFD is a Field Stop IGBT from ON Semiconductor designed for high voltage and current switching applications. It features a collector-emitter voltage rating of 600V and a continuous collector current of 40A. The device has a low saturation voltage of 2.8V maximum at 15V gate drive and 20A collector current, contributing to reduced conduction losses. Switching characteristics include turn-on energy of 370 µJ and turn-off energy of 160 µJ at 400V, 20A, 10Ω gate resistance, and 15V gate voltage. Gate charge is 65 nC. The IGBT is offered in a TO-263-3 (D2PAK) surface mount package, which facilitates automated assembly and efficient heat dissipation. The operating junction temperature range is -55°C to 150°C, and the device can dissipate up to 208W. This IGBT is suitable for power conversion circuits such as motor drives, inverters, and uninterruptible power supplies.
