The Samtec FFSD-25-D-02.00-01-N-R is a 50-position IDC socket ribbon cable assembly with a 1.27mm pitch. It features a socket-to-socket reversed wiring configuration and a polarization notch. The cable uses 30 AWG wire and is terminated via IDC (Insulation Displacement Connection) for reliable mass termination.
Electrical performance includes a current rating of 2.3A per pin (2 pins powered) and an operating temperature range of -40°C to +105°C. Contacts are made of beryllium copper with 0.25µm gold plating over nickel. The insulator is PBT. The assembly accepts a lead size of 0.41mm square and has an insertion depth of 2.64mm to 3.17mm.
This assembly is designed to mate with Samtec FTS, FTSH, EHF, SHF, and ESHF series headers. It is unshielded and comes in a gray ribbon cable. The reversed orientation provides routing flexibility in tight layouts. Typical applications include board-to-board interconnects and internal wiring harnesses in industrial or consumer electronics.
