The FFB20UP20STM from onsemi is a 200V, 20A ultrafast recovery diode housed in a surface-mount D2PAK (TO-263) package. It features an average rectified forward current of 20A at case temperature 115°C and a maximum forward voltage of 1.15V at 20A. The diode's reverse recovery time is 45ns maximum, enabling efficient high-frequency switching.
Intended for freewheeling and clamping diodes, the device is suited for switching power supplies, welders, UPS systems, and motor drive circuits. Its rugged UIS capability and avalanche energy rating of 20mJ (minimum) allow it to handle inductive load transients. These characteristics make it suitable for output rectifiers and power switching circuits.
