The FERD30H60CG-TR is a dual common cathode rectifier diode array from STMicroelectronics, utilizing FERD (Field Effect Rectifier Diode) technology to achieve a low typical forward voltage of 585 mV at 15 A forward current. It is rated for a maximum reverse voltage of 60 V and a forward current of 15 A per diode, with fast recovery speed of ≤ 500 ns at > 200 mA.
This device features a maximum operating junction temperature of 175°C, making it suitable for high-temperature environments. It is designed for surface mount assembly in a D²PAK (TO-263-3) package, which offers good thermal performance and a compact footprint.
Typical applications include output rectification in switched-mode power supplies, DC-DC converters, and freewheeling diodes in power management circuits. The FERD technology provides a balance between low forward voltage and fast switching, improving efficiency in high-frequency designs.
