The FEP16JT-E3/45 is a dual common cathode ultrafast plastic rectifier from Vishay General Semiconductor part of the FEP16xT series. It features a glass passivated pellet chip junction and is designed for high efficiency and low switching losses.
Electrical specifications include a maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage of 600V an average forward current of 16A at Tc=100°C and a peak forward surge current of 200A. The maximum forward voltage is 1.5V at 8A and the maximum reverse current is 10µA at 600V. Reverse recovery time is a maximum of 50ns making it suitable for high frequency applications.
The device is housed in a TO-220-3 (TO-220AB) through-hole package with a maximum mounting torque of 10 in-lbs. The molding compound meets UL 94 V-0 flammability rating and the leads are matte tin plated.
Typical applications include high frequency rectifiers in switching mode power supplies inverters freewheeling diodes and DC/DC converters.
