The FEP16GT-E3/45 is a dual common cathode ultrafast plastic rectifier from Vishay General Semiconductor. It integrates two diodes in a common cathode configuration, rated for a maximum reverse voltage of 400 V and an average forward current of 16 A (8 A per diode at TC = 100 °C). The device features a fast recovery time of 50 ns, making it suitable for high-frequency power switching applications.
Key electrical characteristics include a maximum forward voltage of 1.3 V at IF = 8 A, a peak forward surge current of 125 A per diode (8.3 ms single half sine-wave), and a maximum reverse leakage current of 10 µA at 400 V and 25 °C. The maximum junction temperature is 150 °C and the operating temperature range is -55 °C to +150 °C.
The device is supplied in a through-hole TO-220AB (TO-220-3) package with matte tin plated leads. It is RoHS-compliant (E3 suffix) and meets MSL level 1 per J-STD-020. Typical applications include high frequency rectifier in switching mode power supplies, inverters, freewheeling diodes, and DC-DC converters.
