This P-Channel MOSFET has been designed specifically to improve the overall efficiency of DC/DC converters using either synchronous or conventional switching PWM controllers, and battery chargers. It features a drain-source voltage rating of -30V and continuous drain current of 3.4A (10A pulsed). The on-resistance is a maximum of 130mOhm at VGS=-10V and 200mOhm at VGS=-4.5V, with gate charge of 2.5nC typical and input capacitance of 205pF at VDS=15V. Power dissipation is rated at 3W when mounted on an FR4 board (Note 1a). The device is packaged in a SOT-223 surface mount package with gull wing leads, supplied on tape and reel (4000 pieces). Operating temperature range is -55°C to 150°C. It is Pb-Free and RoHS3 compliant. Applications include battery chargers, motor drives, and DC/DC converters.
