The device offers fast switching speeds with typical rise and fall times of 13 ns and 36 ns respectively, and a low total gate charge of 37 nC typical. These characteristics make it suitable for low-side synchronous rectifier operation.

 

Packaged in an industry-standard 8-SOIC surface mount package, the FDS7788 provides excellent thermal performance with a junction-to-ambient thermal resistance of 50°C/W (mounted on 1in² copper pad) and a maximum power dissipation of 2.5W.
