The FDMF3035 from On Semiconductor is a next-generation, ultra-compact Smart Power Stage (SPS) module. It is fully optimized for high-current, high-frequency synchronous buck DC-DC applications, integrating a driver IC, bootstrap Schottky diode, and two power MOSFETs into a thermally enhanced 5 mm x 5 mm PQFN package.
This module is designed for optimized driver and MOSFET dynamic performance, minimized system inductance, and low power MOSFET Rds(on). It utilizes onsemi's POWERTRENCH MOSFET technology for clean voltage waveforms and reduced ringing, and SyncFET technology with an integrated Schottky diode in the low-side MOSFET. The FDMF3035 supports diode emulation for improved light-load efficiency and features a 3-state 5 V PWM input for compatibility with various PWM controllers.
Key electrical specifications include a high current handling capability of 50 A, an operating voltage range of 4.5V to 24V, and an optimized switching frequency up to 1.5 MHz.
