The FDMC7692S is an N-Channel MOSFET from onsemi, manufactured using the advanced PowerTrench process to achieve extremely low on-state resistance. This device is designed for power management and load switching applications in notebook computers and portable battery packs.
Electrical characteristics include a maximum drain-to-source voltage of 30V, continuous drain current of 18A at case temperature 25°C (12.5A at ambient 25°C), and pulsed current up to 45A. The maximum on-resistance is 9.3 mOhm at VGS=10V and ID=12.5A, and 13.6 mOhm at VGS=4.5V. Gate charge is 23 nC (max) at VGS=10V, and input capacitance is 1385 pF (max) at VDS=15V. Single pulse avalanche energy is rated at 21 mJ.
The device is offered in a surface-mount 8-PowerWDFN package (8-MLP 3.3x3.3 mm) with 0.65 mm lead pitch. Thermal resistance junction-to-case is 4.7°C/W and junction-to-ambient is 53°C/W (1 in² pad, 2 oz copper). Operating junction temperature ranges from -55°C to 150°C.
