The FDMA530PZ from onsemi is a single P-Channel Power MOSFET designed for battery charge and load switching in cellular handsets and other ultraportable applications. It utilizes POWERTRENCH technology to achieve a maximum on-resistance of 35mOhm at Vgs = -10V and Id = -6.8A, and 65mOhm at Vgs = -4.5V and Id = -5.0A. The device is rated for a drain-source voltage of -30V and can handle continuous drain currents up to -6.8A (at Ta=25°C).

 

The MOSFET is housed in a compact 6-WDFN exposed pad package (MicroFET 2x2 mm) with a low profile of just 0.8mm maximum, making it suitable for space-constrained designs. It offers excellent thermal performance for its physical size, with a junction-to-ambient thermal resistance of 52°C/W (Note 1a). The device is RoHS compliant and free from halogenated compounds and antimony oxides. It also features ESD protection greater than 3kV (HBM typical).
