FCX690BTA

The FCX690BTA is an NPN high gain power transistor manufactured by Diodes Incorporated. It features a collector-emitter breakdown voltage (Vceo) of 45V and a continuous collector current (Ic) of 2A, with peak pulse current capability up to 6A. The DC current gain (hFE) is a minimum of 400 at Ic=1A and Vce=2V, making it suitable for high gain applications. The collector-emitter saturation voltage is typically low at 300mV maximum at Ib=5mA and Ic=1A. The transition frequency (ft) is 150MHz, enabling use in moderate frequency switching and linear circuits.

Power dissipation is rated at 2W when mounted on a 40mm x 40mm x 1.6mm FR4 PCB, with a thermal resistance junction-to-ambient of 62.5°C/W under the same conditions. The device is ESD rated at ≥8000V HBM (Class 3B) and ≥400V MM (Class C). It is housed in a surface mount SOT89-3 package (TO-243AA) with matte tin plated leads and weighs approximately 0.052 grams. The package is UL 94V-0 flammability rated and moisture sensitivity level 1 per J-STD-020.

The FCX690BTA is RoHS compliant, lead-free, and halogen and antimony free (Green device). A complementary PNP type, FCX790A, is available for push-pull configurations. Standard packaging is 1000 pieces per 7-inch reel with 12mm tape width.
