The FCMT180N65S3 is an N-Channel power MOSFET from onsemi's SuperFET III family, designed for high-voltage power conversion applications. It features a maximum drain-source voltage of 650V (700V at Tj=150°C) and continuous drain current of 17A at Tc=25°C. The device utilises charge balance super-junction technology to achieve low on-resistance (typical 152mOhm, max 180mOhm at 10V) and low gate charge (typical 33nC), enabling efficient switching and reduced conduction losses.
This MOSFET offers excellent switching performance with low effective output capacitance (typical 305pF) and is rated for high dv/dt capability (100 V/ns). It is 100% avalanche tested with a single pulsed avalanche energy rating of 80mJ. The device is housed in a thin Power88 package (4-PowerTSFN), which measures 8x8mm with a low 1mm profile, and is surface-mountable. The package includes separate driver and power source connections to minimise parasitic inductance.
The FCMT180N65S3 is qualified for industrial and telecom power supplies, UPS systems, lighting, and charger/adapter applications. It is Pb-free and RoHS compliant, with Moisture Sensitivity Level 1 (MSL 1) for unlimited floor life.
