The Vicor FARM2HN2 is a Filter/Autoranging Rectifier Module (FARM) designed to interface directly with worldwide AC mains. It provides essential functions including EMI filtering, autoranging line rectification, and inrush current limiting.
This module supports a wide input voltage range of 90-264 Vac, accommodating both 115V and 230V systems. It can deliver up to 750W of output power with a high efficiency of 96% at 120/240 Vac input. The output voltage ranges from 250 Vdc to 370 Vdc.
The FARM2HN2 features a microprocessor-controlled design that continuously monitors the AC line to optimize bridge/doubler operation. It requires external capacitance for system hold-up. The module is housed in a mini-sized package measuring 2.28" x 2.2" x 0.5", making it suitable for low-profile applications.
Vicor's packaging technology offers flexible mounting options, including conventional leaded device installation for onboard applications, inboard mounting for height-restricted designs, socketing, or surface mounting with optional interconnect products. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 100°C.
The FARM2HN2 supports an operating input voltage range of 90-132 Vac for the low range and 180-264 Vac for the high range.
The module can deliver up to 500 Watts at 90-132 Vac input and up to 750 Watts at 180-264 Vac input.
The efficiency is typically 96% at 120/240 Vac input.
The operating temperature range for the H-Grade is -40°C to 100°C.
The RoHS status is RoHS3 Compliant.
The Moisture Sensitivity Level is 1 Unlimited.
