The FAN7688SJX from ON Semiconductor is an advanced Pulse Frequency Modulated (PFM) controller designed for LLC resonant converters with Synchronous Rectification (SR). It offers high efficiency for isolated DC/DC converters, utilizing a current mode control technique based on charge control.
This controller features a wide operating frequency range from 39 kHz to 690 kHz and operates within a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. It supports an operating voltage range of 0V to 18V and consumes a low current of 80 µA.
The FAN7688SJX includes features such as closed-loop soft-start for monotonic output voltage rising and adaptive synchronous rectification control with dual edge tracking to minimize body diode conduction time.
