FAN7390M1X

The FAN7390M1X from ON Semiconductor is a versatile gate-drive integrated circuit capable of driving high-speed MOSFETs and IGBTs. It operates with high-side channels up to +600V, making it suitable for demanding power applications. The device features a buffered output stage with NMOS transistors optimized for high pulse current driving and minimal cross-conduction.

Key electrical characteristics include a typical sourcing and sinking current capability of 4.5A. It supports independent channels and is compatible with IGBT and N-Channel MOSFET gates. The input logic is compatible with 3.3V and 5V levels, and the output is in-phase with the input. The operating supply voltage ranges from 10V to 22V, with logic voltages supported at 1.2V and 2.5V.

Designed for robust performance, the FAN7390M1X incorporates ON Semiconductor’s high-voltage process and common-mode dv/dt noise-canceling techniques for stable operation under noisy conditions. It also includes built-in under-voltage lockout (UVLO) for both channels to prevent malfunction. The propagation delay for both channels is matched, with typical rise times of 20ns and 25ns.

This gate driver IC is housed in a 14-SOIC package with a surface mount type. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 150°C (TJ). Applications include PDP sustain drivers, motor drivers, switching power supplies, and high-power DC-DC converters.
