FAN53526UC288X

The FAN53526UC288X from On Semiconductor is a highly efficient, digitally programmable step-down (buck) switching voltage regulator. It is designed to deliver a programmable output voltage from an input voltage range of 2.5V to 5.5V.

This regulator features a continuous output current capability of 3.0A and operates at a fixed frequency of 2.4MHz, which helps reduce the size of external components. It utilizes synchronous rectification for high efficiency, exceeding 80% even at light load currents as low as 10mA. At moderate and light loads, it operates in Power-Save Mode (PFM) with a typical quiescent current of 50µA, switching automatically to fixed-frequency control at higher loads.

The output voltage is programmable via an I2C interface, capable of operating up to 3.4Mbps. The output voltage can be adjusted from 0.600V to 1.39375V in 6.25mV steps. Additional features include programmable slew rate for voltage transitions, input under-voltage lockout (UVLO), and thermal shutdown and overload protection.

The FAN53526UC288X is available in a compact 15-bump, 1.310 mm x 2.015 mm, 0.4 mm ball pitch WLCSP (Wafer-Level Chip Scale Package), making it suitable for space-constrained applications.
