The FAN5093MTCX from On Semiconductor is a synchronous two-phase DC-DC controller IC designed for VRM 9.x applications. It provides a highly accurate, programmable output voltage from 1.10V to 1.85V in 25mV steps, utilizing an integrated 5-bit DAC.
This controller features two interleaved synchronous buck regulator phases operating 180° out of phase, enabling fast transient response crucial for high current applications. It supports a programmable switching frequency from 100KHz to 1MHz per phase and includes built-in current sharing between phases. The device also incorporates Programmable Active Droop for voltage positioning and transient response optimization with minimal output capacitance.
Integrated high-current gate drivers with adaptive delay gate switching eliminate the need for external drive devices.
