The KEMET F462BS104K1K0C is a metallized polypropylene (MKP) film capacitor from the F462 series. It offers a capacitance of 0.1 µF with ±10% tolerance and is rated for 1000 VDC (derating to 600 VDC at 105°C) and 300 VAC. The capacitor exhibits low dissipation factor: 0.05% at 1 kHz, 0.06% at 10 kHz, and 0.25% at 100 kHz. Insulation resistance is a minimum of 100 GΩ, and maximum dV/dt is 1600 V/µs with typical inductance of 6 nH.
The component is packaged in a radial leaded form with cut tinned wire terminations. Dimensions are 18 mm length, 16 mm height, and 10 mm thickness, with 15 mm lead spacing and 0.8 mm lead diameter. Operating temperature range is -55°C to +105°C, with rated temperature at 85°C. Voltage derating applies above 85°C at 2%/°C.
This capacitor is designed for pulse and general purpose applications requiring high voltage and low losses. Note that the datasheet indicates this part is 'Not for New Design' and recommends replacement with KEMET R75QI3100AA30K. The series is being replaced by the R75 series.
